High school from Miah:

Last year, Miah was in middle school. I interviewed her! This year, she is now a freshman in high school. Here are the questions and her answers.

1. How do you like high school?: “First of all, it's a lot better than middle school, second of all the teachers are better in my opinion, and so far this year, I haven't gotten homework once.”

2. What is your favorite and least favorite thing about high school?: “My favorite thing about high school is the teachers. My least favorite thing about high school is probably that people evolve a lot and you don't know if it's good or bad.”

3. Are there any teachers that don’t teach “right” or just not how you like?: “My math teacher. He just doesn't teach right.

4. What advice would you give to rising freshmen/9th graders?: “Take notes. That would probably help a lot.”

Plastic in the Ocean:

There is approximately 220.4 million tons of plastic in the oceans.

Plastic that goes into bins ends up in a landfill. When trash is being transported to the landfill, plastic is usually blown away because it is so lightweight. It eventually clutters around drains and goes into rivers and the seas.

Also, plastic is already harmful, but with so much of it in the ocean it accumulates on land. Causing trouble for marine-life.

Remember to recycle correctly!

Tip: Wash out cans and bottles before recycling them.
